Bite Your Tongue When Necessary2 Minute Read

I find it hard to bite my tongue sometimes. I find it hard to take ridicule and criticism that I don’t believe I need. I am very honest with myself and always opened to learn and development personally. I strive to constantly self improve, but sometimes I just find it extremely difficult to bite my tongue when I don’t like hearing something. Whether that be from my boss, my parents, a mentor, a friend, or whoever it may be. This can cause your emotions to flow, but sometimes it is better to keep your mouth closed and move on with life. I am not implying that you always do this, because it is important to speak your mind and stand up for what you believe. However, if someone is trying to help you or correct you when you did something wrong, you should listen and save your opinion.

The sheer emotion of anger is just that, an emotion. We must BITE our tongue and swallow our pride in certain situations. Sometimes we must bite our tongue to get to where we need to be. I know you have been in a situation where you were so frustrated, angry, upset, or just plain out flustered and all you wanted to do was curse out the person yelling at you. I’m here to say, that you must remain patient in these types of situations. It will all work out and resolve itself in the end if you let it.

Remain Patient and Do Something Different Today!

Bite that tongue as long and hard as you must to stay out of trouble and continue moving up in life. I have been there and I know you have, where you absolutely wanted to explode on someone. Keep that composure and allow your mind to take control.
